Professional Experience

Sophie Griffies, Research Analyst with Woodworth Core Group, is based in Birmingham and leads research efforts for the appraisal and valuation services. Her primary responsibility is managing our in-house database, which tracks hotel sales, listings, construction costs, PIP renovations and a variety of other useful market data regarding hotels. She maintains contact with numerous hotel brokers and other market participants, which allows us to directly confirm sale information with a party to the transaction in a timely manner.

Sophie for many years served as an event coordinator for the HMC sports complex and helped various departments recover post pandemic. As a young professional beginning her career, Sophie chose to pursue real estate for its opportunities to learn and develop as a business professional. This passion for growth earned her the position as the project coordinator during a successful merger with a luxury real estate affiliate, while simultaneously coordinating fundraising events for local charities.

Her determination and passion for learning led to her current position at Core Hospitality Advisors, where she was brought on board for the role of Research Assistant working under Elaine Phares.  Starting January 2024, she became the leading Research Analyst for Core Hospitality Advisors and is thrilled to learn and develop within the hospitality industry.
