Jeremy Gilston, Vice President with Woodworth Core Group based in Washington, DC, offers a varied background of consulting, acquisitions, and asset management experience. He began his consulting career in 2014 with LW Hospitality Advisors based in New York City where he conducted feasibility studies and appraisals on more than $1 billion of hotel assets across the U.S. for a wide variety of owners and lenders.

Most recently, Jeremy was overseeing acquisitions and asset management as a portfolio manager for Brookfield Asset Management’s 111-property extended stay hotel platform, Brookwood Hotels, until it was acquired by Blackstone in March 2022, after which he joined R.M. Woodworth & Associates, now Woodworth Core Group.  Prior to this, Jeremy spent three years establishing Kalibri Labs’ real estate and investments platform, devising product offerings and educating the greater real estate community on how to leverage next-generation data for better-informed decision making. In this role, he advised the hotel industry’s leading firms and disruptors including Blackstone, HVS, CBRE, JLL, Hilton, Choice, StayAPT, Aimbridge, Crescent, Jefferies, Moody’s, Sonder, WhyHotel, NYC & Co., and more. Jeremy was also an early contributor in acquisitions and asset management to Excel Group, a Washington, DC-based value-add private equity platform focused on branded limited-service hotels.

Jeremy has a true passion for hospitality and real estate, evident through his involvement in industry organizations including Cornell Real Estate Circles and Young Hospitality Investment Professionals. He has been published in the Boston Hospitality Review and authored the Kalibri Labs’ industry study titled “In a COVID-19 World: Extended Stay Hotels Have the Advantage.” He also was featured in a Cornell SC Johnson College of Business article titled “Prepared to Lead: How Jeremy Gilston ’14 Found His Way to Real Estate.”

Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and a master’s degree in real estate finance from Georgetown University.
